Who I Am
I am a freelance photographer based in Edinburgh, focussing primarily on portraits and illustration. I studied photography at Stevenson College attaining an Advanced Diploma in Photography in 2001.

What I Do
Since then, I have met the needs of a variety of clients including magazines, conference centres, charities and private individuals for weddings and portraits. You will notice from my site that I am particularly biased towards more fantastic and imaginative interpretations of briefs, and I have a penchant for illustration. I prefer to form good relationships with the same models to pursue personal work, and usually have several "muses" on the go.

Weddings
I am available for weddings at short notice and provide a very adaptable and reasonably priced service to suit my clients' needs, which will usually include traditional, formal wedding portraits through to semi-formal "casual" poses (which many clients prefer) and reportage, which almost always results in the wedding party's favourite shots!

Portraits
Portraiture, particularly fantasy portraiture, in which a more interpretative approach is applied to the brief, is probably my favourite work, and certainly the work which my numerous clients have expressed the deepest satisfaction with. I have taken many commissions for portraiture for use in a very wide range of contexts, from web-publishing and interview illustration to the mantelpiece.

Abstracts & Architecture
I have a deep fascination with the use of the camera to produce images of things that are *not* real, or seem almost unreal. I have lived in Edinburgh for almost 2 decades and rarely pass up an opportunity to go out with a camera in the fog...
